20 things about ME... day 10

So, my all time, FAVORITE FOOD is.... Fettuccine Alfredo. And not just any Fettuccine Alfredo... no, no, no my friend! It has to be The Olive Garden's Fettuccine Alfredo. It is DIVINE! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! I go there, about, 2 or 3 times (on my birthday, on my Anniversary, and maybe on 1 date night) a year. And it is ALL I EVER GET! I have tried other things, but I am always disappointed with what I order. I am NEVER disappointed when I order THAT! Y-U-M-M-Y! And right now, I'm am wishing that I had the money to go and get some... maybe next month. I can't hardly wait! That's it for now...

20 things about ME... day 9

We are now on Day 9... so here goes. Some weird facts about me are that I love Mayo on corn on the cob... I slather it on really thick. It makes my husband gag and shudder when I do this. I also like a fried egg sandwich's (and the yolk has to be broken when it is cooked) with mayo and grape jelly on the bread... this is another thing that makes my husband shudder and my 10 year old son likes it too! (hehe) Again, I could also eat a whole box of KRAFT Mac and Cheese, not a very good thing to do, so I don't do it (very often, anyways)... but I could.
I know I eat other stuff that is weird, but I can't think of anything right now... maybe I'll think of something later...

20 things about ME... day 8

So, here we are on day 8... and what time is it? 11:44 p.m... yeah, that's another problem I have... I procrastinate like you wouldn't believe. I seem to wait until the very last minute to do things. And it (or rather 'I') wasn't always like this, either. It just happened over time... stuff happens, ya know? I put off doing a craft project... or 2, or 3, or 20. Yeah, you should see my craft box. Actually I think I have 2 or 3 of them floating around the house somewhere. All with bits of things in them, wood things mostly... but who has the TIME to finish all of them?! Not ME!! I tell ya, having 5 kids takes a lot of time and throw in some pets (1 bird, 2 {freaking} bunnies, and 3 dogs), a house and all of the cleaning (which I do, just not a lot of the time), dishes and laundry... sheesh! No wonder I don't have a lot of time. Add in 2 different schools to get 3 kids to, at different times, and I'm running around all morning. Then, when I pick them up, it's homework, homework, and even more homework! AARRGGHHH! I'd like a weekend (heck, even a Saturday) that I don't have to take care of anyone and just have a little craft time by myself. I actually get some time for myself, but I don't use it very often, 'cause I'm doing things for the 'other people' in the family, and I feel guilty if I have time for me, and not doing other things for the family... did ya get that or did that sound really, really odd? Yeah, I feel guilty for not being the best or the most... whatever. It's one of my faults. I don't know where it came from.. but I'm stuck with it. It's what I do and just who I am...

20 things about ME... day 7

Day #7... I have a confession... I am... a total... Pack-Rat. I save (literally) save everything. And it really pains me to throw stuff away. I have had bills in my file cabinet that were from 2002! (They have been {recently} dispatched by my husband) WHY?!... I don't know! You should really see my craft table... it has PILES OF PAPERS on it. My husband can attest to that! He HATES it! And when he try's to "fix it" or "move something", I feel like I'm going to have a 'conniption fit'. I really hate it when he moves something... because that means "I" can't find it! I know where everything is on the table, but when he gets near it... I start to hyperventilate (o.k., not really, but it feels like it sometimes). As I type this, I am starting to get 'antsy' just thinking about it. Yikes! I really should do something about it... but I'll leave that for another day.

20 things about ME... day 6

Something else to know about me is that I wear 5 clips in my hair. Why? Because I have 5 kids, of course! Doesn't everyone? And the clips that I wear... well, they reflect my children. Oh, and I also color-coordinate my kids too (it just saves on them fighting over something and my sanity). :)
Their favorite colors are as follows... The oldest (a girl) is red, the next (oldest) one in line (a boy) is blue, the middlest (another girl) is green, the next one (a boy) is yellow, and the youngest (a girl) is purple. Apparently I (or as my husband says) 'brainwashed' them into thinking that those were their favorite colors... well, I don't think so. That's just the color that looked best on them when they were baby's. And I just followed suit with keeping up the color scheme as they grew older. Well, that's it for now...

20 things about ME... day 5

Things to know about me day #5... As a kid, I remember my dad torturing me and giving me grilled onions to eat... I did NOT like them... but I did like onion rings. Go figure! So, now as an adult, I LOVE grilled onions and ONLY onion rings from Jack in the Box (but only as long as they are fresh). Why do you ask? Because they make them (at least most of the time) FRESH from the fryer. They are the most delicious when hot!!
Burger Kings has these little round rings and they don't taste all that great, Carl's Jr. makes them, but I don't care for those either... and McDonald's just doesn't even get into the game. So there you have it... torture your kids NOW with different tastes so that when they grow-up they can do the same thing to their own kids :)

20 things about ME... day 4

My favorite color is BLUE. Good ol' fashioned blue. 8 colors in a pack... crayon blue. And I remember when it was that I decided this... I was just a little girl, living in Pomona, Ca. and my Nana (my grandma) came out from Phoenix, Arizona to see me. She took me to see 'Sleeping Beauty' at the movie theater. This was in the late '70's to early '80's and it had been re-released to the movie theaters, so off we went.
The only thing that I remember about that day was the big, huge scary Dragon spitting out green fire, and the Fairy Godmother's turning Princess Aurora's dress first to Pink, and then to Blue. By the end of the movie, when Sleeping Beauty is dancing with her prince and the Fairy's are turning her dress from one color to the other, I realized, then and there, I was in love with the color BLUE. I have loved it ever since... and whenever I watch it with my kids, I remember, with fondness, my Nana...

20 things about ME... day 3 (sorry it's on the wrong day)

Day 3 (which is actually on day 4, but whose keeping track)... is that I could EAT an entire box of Macaroni and Cheese all by myself... it wouldn't be good or smart of me to do it... but I could. There is just something about that cheesy powder and milk, that when it mixes together with the cooked macaroni... HEAVEN! I remember as a little girl it being the only thing that I would eat other than chicken and cereal. Just thinking about it makes me hungry for some... and it HAS to be 'Kraft' macaroni and cheese. Not the fakey kind. It's gotta be the 'REAL DEAL' or nothing. And it has to be made with real milk and country crock butter. It just tastes better that way! :)

20 things about ME... day 2

Well, as I sit here and type (with only 1 hand, 'cause the other is holding little miss Holly baby) I'm trying to think of the second thing to know about me... and I guess that THING is that I love Halloween almost as much as I love Christmas! I love all the different decorations that are out there. Especially the handmade ones. Don't get me wrong... the store bought ones are cool too, but something that the regular person comes up with... I think that it sometimes is better or even more awesomer! (is that even a real word? my spell check says *NO*)
Oohhh, and another thing is that I love the sparkly-ness of some of the crafts too! Put some glitter on a project and I am THERE! I especially love the slogan 'if the Shoe fits!' It just cracks me up.

20 things about ME... day 1

Well, one thing to know about me is that I *LOVE* Christmas! I love the white lights that make it feel *classic*... I love the multi-colored lights that bring out the *kid* in me... and I really love watching the Charlie Brown Christmas Special (I have it on D.V.D.).
Whenever my husband and I pick out a tree for Christmas, I always have to have white lights on it... and my husband always HAS to have multi-colored lights on it (blinking, no less, but only 1 strand) so it works out great for both of us. And one of my all-time *FAVORITE* movies to watch during the holiday season is 'While You Were Sleeping' with Sandra Bullock and Bill Pullman. I absolutely ADORE this movie! I could watch it all year long, but I limit myself to only after Halloween and before Valentines Day. I know... it's weird... but that's just me.

I like to buy....

I like to buy stuff... for everyone but me. I need stuff, but it feels like I'm taking away from my family to actually buy ME things. And even when I don't have to buy stuff, I sometimes get this urge to buy stuff anyways. It makes me feel good just to buy a $5 little toy for my Tinker 'Emmy' Bell or a $3 car for my Joey, for no other reason than 'just because'. I like to go and cruise around Target (my favorite place to shop) and just look for stuff to buy... but not actually buy it (don't get me wrong, I do buy stuff every now and then, just not recently with the whole David's job thing). I even like Walmart (but not my favorite, like Target is) because it is open 24 hours a day. It's great! I just wish they had Targets that did that. And Walmart has a great selection of household cleaning stuff, cheaper than Target, but their clothes are awful! Especially for little girls! I just bought a pair of pants, size 5, for my little girl there and they are WAY TOO LOW DOWN IN THE FRONT! I couldn't believe it. For 5 year old little girl! Now I need to return the pants. Uggh! This is where Target comes into play... THEY have a much better selection of clothes, and toys ( I should have gone there first). So when I have to buy things like toilet paper, tissue, paper towels... you get the idea, I go to Walmart. But when I need to buy clothes for everyone or shoes (for the littler kids), I go to Target. You see, it's my favorite place to shop!

Things I like...

On to things I like... hearing my children laugh... especially at the 'freaking bunnies' (which I still am not totally sold on) taking off with someone's balloon and hopping around the room with the string in his mouth. It WAS really funny. Vader (short for Darth Vader) was hopping around the living room and just happened on to some string, which had a balloon attached to it. Vader, not knowing this, probably 'cause he's a bunny, thought that the string tasted mighty nice and started to eat said string and as I'm talking to my sister-in-law Amy, I'm motioning Kiry to get the bunny OFF of the string... she starts to laugh, which in turn, leads to the other kids looking and laughing with delight too. But I didn't want the bunny to eat the string ('cause it's not really string and even if it were, I'd still not want him to eat it) so I finally shoo him OFF the sting and the kids were sad. Well, short story long, I'm trying to get the kids to bed and Kiry says "Look Mom, the balloon." I turn around and Vader, the 'Freaking Bunny', has got the sting and now the balloon is floating right above his cage and bouncing as he's eating the string in his cage! Dang bunny! Too fricken, chicken funny! I guess ya gotta laugh at it, instead of cry about it! :)

What have I been up to...

Nothing. Nada. Zip... Zilch... Zoink? J/k I must do stuff, lots of stuff, just not blog entry stuff. I like to blog stalk and get great kid craft ideas, but do I do anything with them... Nope. Not yet anyway. It all comes down to $$, money, moollah, dinero, coins, that 'finger swipe' thing that everyone does for a money sign. We ain't got NONE! And I hate it! And it's not like David doesn't have a job, 'cause he's got one! It's just that we have too many bills, extra bills, and lots of student loan debt. Not to mention that his work is in a constant state of NOT PAYING US! It gets to one after awhile, like me, who pays the bills and who gets the calls of 'Why haven't you paid your mortgage yet?' (this reminds me of Fat Tony asking Homer Simpson about his wife asking 'Where's the money honey?' 'How come I don't have the money, Honey?', 'When are you going to get the money, Honey?') And as of right now, I don't care who knows it. I don't care WHO I offend, if they read this. This is MY blog and not "a lot" :) of people know about it. So there. Rant over, moving on...
