WOO HOO! I figured it out!

Hey, I just figured out how to 'favorite' my Favorite people blog sites! Coolness!

WE ARE HERE, WE ARE HERE, WE ARE HERE!

Sorry about that..... we are still alive and kicking.... just not blogging much. Hopefully that will change because I really want to do this. I see so many other blogs out there (that I haven't figured out how to add to my blog yet) and it makes me want to do this too! Patience is a virtue, but procrastination is my middle name! (Not really, but maybe it sometime should be!) LOL!

A Free Gift....

"So, here's how it works: the first 3 people to leave a comment on this post will receive, at some point during the year a handmade gift from me. What it will be and when it will arrive is a total surprise! The catch is that you must participate as well. Before you leave your comment, write up a pay it forward post on your blog to keep the fun going (or copy and paste like I did). Then come back, let me know you're going to play and sit back and anticipate the arrival of your gift! Come and play!!" This should be fun. But NO cheating! You can only get one free gift, especially if other friends of yours play too. I'm not sure what to gift will be, but I'm sure I can think of something.... a piece of string, a rock, a marble....J/K. It'll be good.
Thanks for Playing!

Dinner at MY house...

O.k., so a couple of weeks ago I decide to make some soup. I made a really good one too. It was beef and barley, with some potato's and carrots and a little bit of onions.  Well, that night Kiry asks what's for dinner. I tell her it's Beef and barley soup. She says "Yea!" She then tells Jesse what we are having and he asks if he can have something else.  UGGGHHH! I tell him "no". He goes and glumly sits on the couch and reads a book.
So it's finally time for dinner, and I call all the children to come and sit at the table. Here's what goes down. Kiry eats all of her soup and asks for seconds. She gets seconds and then asks for thirds. I say 'no' to thirds.  Jesse chokes his down, (in the same amount of time that it takes Kiry to eat 2 bowls of soup) and asks to leave the table. He doesn't want any more.  Emmy, who realizes that we are having soup, won't even sit at the table. She doesn't eat the soup part that night but has at least 3 bites of the meat and is hungry the next morning. She eats all of her scrambled eggs in the morning.  As for Joey, he'll eat anything that tastes good. He ate all of his soup! He's a good baby boy!
This is what I face on any given day that I make dinner. As my sister-in-law Amy said, "I'm not a short order cook, I'm your Mom. I'm not about to make 5 different things for dinner. You will eat what I make. It's your choice, and if you don't like/want it,  you at least have to try one bite." So goes my dilemma. What's for dinner in your house?

Joey has found his.....

My son, Joey, just turned 1 years old. And just last night, he found his, you guessed it, his tongue (thought I was going to say something else, didn't ya.) It's quite funny. All of a sudden, he opens his mouth, and you can see it wiggling in there. It's like he doesn't know what to do with it for a minute. Then, the next minute, he's fine again. Just thought I'd share that little bit of knowledge with ya'all.  Oh, and by the way, HE'S walking everywhere in the house! I can't keep him still. The little know it all started taking steps at 10 months, even more steps at 11 months, and on his first birthday, walked tons of steps. He's just a walking machine! Much to the dissatisfaction of his mom. I no longer have a baby, I have a tobbler (and yes, I mean tobbler).

My post on another blog....

I read other people's blogs just like most everyone else I know does. I even have a couple of favorite's. One of them just happens to be at 'mormonhusbands.blogspot.com' It is freakin hilarious!  One of the things this husband asked his readers was about your worst fears (see '100 legs of death'). I laughed all the way through the post.
This was my response on that blog.
*Side note --  NMH means Normal Mormon Husband

Now about those fears... My worst fear is losing my kids. I have had some pretty awful nightmares about that. My regular fears stem from too much t.v. as a kid. One t.v. movie had these creepy little ape/monkey things terrorizing a woman in her new house. While she was taking a shower, they came out from under the sink cabinet and tried to scare her. It worked. Finally, when they did get her, they dragged her to an unused furnace door in the basement and took her down to their home. Her husband is calling her name in the background as she is being taken and he never finds her again. Another movie, which was kind of parodied in a Halloween Simpsons special, was about a Tiki doll with face mask harpooning a lady, while, you guessed it, in the the bath tub.
Let's put it this way, if I shower in a bathroom that has a non see-through curtain, I'm always checking to see if someone is looking at me. The curtain is never shut all the way either. In my own shower, we have a see-through door. I'm still on the lookout for those monkey things anyway.
I can sympathize with you, NMH, on the heights thing. My husband does not like heights either. But if given the chance, he will go on ferris wheel with me, although he is white knuckled the whole time on the ride and won't let go of the bar until the ride is at a complete standstill. Great fun for me, I'm laughing the whole time, and rocking the boat, while he's glaring at me and telling me wait till we get home lady. He likes to scare me at night when it's dark in the house. Since I've been married to him for almost 14 years this Aug. and have known him for almost 17 years, I'm pretty used to this, but he does get me on occasion. He likes to wait by the bathroom door on all fours, and growl when I come out of the bathroom. People don't expect being attacked at that height, so it usually freaks me out.
Then I have to plan my attack for sometime later in the week. Great fun at our house. We even have our 4 kids trying to scare each other, and us. Although the youngest is only a year old so we don't scare him, but the almost 3 year old loves to try and scare her daddy. It's kinda hard to be scared of a cute little bunny, but we act the part. Sorry this is sooo long. Didn't mean it to be. Thanks again for the laugh! Loved it!

Well, that's what I wrote. Now if anyone wants to comment, I'd love that. Please tell me your fears, even if they are irrational or not. We all have them. Now Please, Share!

Disneyland, Disneyland and even more Disneyland...

Like the title says, Disneyland, Disneyland, and even more Disneyland! I think I have been to Disneyland more in the last 3 months, than I have been in the last 10 or so years. It's been great! I got to go on my birthday (for free), with Linda, my mother-in-law (No, that's not her in the picture, but she is the one taking it!)
l took Jesse on his birthday for free (and got both of us passes), (this is the only photo of the day, I forgot my camera!),

took my nephew, Jaden, for his birthday for free, along with Jesse, and we even got to see a celebrity (at least we think she is), our very own "Aunty Becki"!  She just happened to be at Disneyland with some friends that night and Jesse asked if she would go a ride with him.  She said yes!

Then I just went to  Disneyland yesterday, with Marissa and her 2 kids, along with my  2 youngest Emmy and Joey. Here are some pictures!

And now, tonight I'm going back with Jesse because he's been doing so great in school and on his homework and spelling tests. This is a treat for just him. No having to share with anyone! Good times all around! Thanks for looking at our family.

A new post coming soon! I promise!

Ever have one of those months when lots of things happen, but you never seem to have time to post anything?  That's been the last 3 months for me.  Hopefully, this coming weekend, I'll be able to post some of the things that my family has done. Thanks for being patient!

Cute kid pictures...

Joey, my smiling sunshine boy!
This is Emmy, my Babushka girl!

The two kids playing nice!

He goes for the shot.  And makes it! SCORE!!!

Joey and Emmy went in for a check-up...

Joey went in for his 9 month check-up and we found out that he's 17 pounds and almost 2 1/2 feet long/tall (he measured at 2 ft. 5.5 in.).  Apparently this means he is a little tall and slim of body. Emmy on the other hand is 31 pounds and is over 3 ft. tall (she's about 38 inches tall).  This means that she's gonna be a tall beautiful girl when she gets older.  David and I are gonna be in a lot trouble when these two start dating, not to mention the other two.

Hell has frozen over, and it's Snowing in Phoenix!

O.K., well not literally... First of all, let me preface this with a disclaimer. We do not have television.  We have a T.V.,  just not one with an antenna that will work with our said t.v., or any dish network or cable t.v. With that being said, I had no idea who was going to be in the Superbowl 43, just that it was going to be this coming weekend.
Today, on a talk-radio program, I heard that the Steelers would be playing in the Superbowl 43 as I was coming home from dropping off Kiry and Jesse to school. No mention of who eles was going to be playing in said Superbowl 43.  Then about 30 min. later, as I was taking David to work, I made a coment that the Superbowl 43 is going to be played this weekend and the only way that I would watch it is if the S.F. 49rs or the Arizona Cardinals (to which I thought would be when "Hell" froze over and it would be  snowing in Phoenix for that to happen) were going to be in it. Again, with that said, I still had no Idea who else was going to be playing.
So I dropped my hubby off  at work and was listening to talk-news radio, and I heard, again, that Superbowl 43 was going to be playing this coming weekend and that the Pittsburg Steelers and the ARIZONA CARDINALS would be duking it out! You could have knocked me over with a feather, I was SO astonished!
Now when the Arizona Cardinals first came to Phoenix, their whole season would consist of maybe 1 or 2 wins.  It was that bad! Bless thier little hearts, though, they stuck with it, and Arizona stuck with them, and now look!  They are in the freaking Superbowl 43! Whoda thunk it!

Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice....

O.K., so David decides to let the kids watch Beetlejuice.  Heck, it's rated PG. What could be that scary in the movie to make it bad for the kids to see.  Well.... it's not very scary, it's just that it has this one word in it. When the Maitlens, (Alec Baldwin, and Geena Davis) decide to get rid of the new owners, they meet up with Beetlejuice in the town model.  As it gets nearer and nearer to the part with the bad word in it, we tell the kids that we have to fast forward the movie to get past that part. They agree, so David forwards the movie to a part after where the word is said. What he failed to realize was that he forwarded it right to that part of the movie where Beetlejuice says the very naughty word. His quote is "Nice Freaking Model!" except that he didn't say 'freaking'. Luckily, I realized what he was going to say and yelled at the top of my lungs, "Lalalalallalal".  The kids looked at me like, "What the Heck is wrong with Mom!"  But they didn't hear the freaking word, which is all that counts!

TIME TO EAT!

The 'Title' says it all.

Decorating the gingerbread house with cousins...

We had some cousins over for the New Year's weekend and decided to finally decorate our gingerbread house that we got for a Christmas present (Thanks to the 3 D's).

Never trust a 2 1/2 year old...

Emmy got a crystal clear toy with markers to color it with for Christmas. When she was being very quiet, I had David check on her. This is what he found.  The title explains it all. The one good thing about it though was that the all the color came right off her face with a little soap and water.

Christmas Morning with a visit from Santa....

Santa came over to our house Christmas morning just before he went to Mexico for a long needed vacation with Mrs. Clause.  Here are the kids opening their presents from him.

T'was the night before Christmas...

Our little angels in their jammies just before bed time. Although 2 of them were sacked out before hand. It just doesn't get any better than this.

3 little words... Daddy Dressed her.

The title says it all.
